Fees and Rebates
Fees:
The standard consultation fee for a 50 minute session in person with David is $190.
A fee discount may be applicable for full-time students, health care card holders, and individuals on a disability pension.
Medicare rebate:
You may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $128.40 per session. This rebate can also be claimed for telehealth sessions. Medicare rebates are available for up to 20 sessions per calendar year. For more information about this, please see the following website from the Australian Psychological Society.
To be eligible for a rebate, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan arranged through your GP or a referral from a psychiatrist. Please bring your Mental Health Care Plan and/or referral letter to your first appointment or email them to David (dpnpsychology@gmail.com).
You are welcome to contact David (see contact details) to discuss any of this.
Private health insurance
If you have private health insurance with a major fund, you may be eligible to rebates for psychological sessions. Please note that some health funds will only provide rebates when Medicare rebates (see above) are used up for the year. Please contact your private health fund to find out what you can receive.
